Our traditional farmhouse brewery is located in Hood River County on a small farm where we also grow some of the hops we use in our hand crafted beer. Truly handcrafted in every sense of the term. We prefer to use locally grown whole organic hops, not pulverized hop pellets. We think you will appreciate the extra effort we take to make our beer this way. Our spent barley, oats and wheat are fed directly to our small herd of organic raised Scottish Highlander cattle.
Our nursery of sharbeekse kreik (cherry) trees brought over from the small Bam's orchard located in East Flanders is growing nicely. After an arduous task of strict government quarantine, inspections and regulatory compliance, we are preparing to graft new root stock and expand our plantings this autumn. Soon we will harvest our own fruit for our upcoming lambic styles and more tart red beers.
Our brewery operates as a cooperative with it's members participating in all aspects of brewery work. Seaberg Einarsson is the artist of our labels and home page. Tamara and Katrina Logsdon are responsible for design and development of our labels and web pages. Judith Bams is our partner from little Belgium and much of our inspiration and many resources. We would also like to welcome our new partners, John Plutshack and Jodie Ayura. John is handling our Oregon distribution and making it possible to find our beers all over the state.
